Blue of the Peace Corp, needs a new home soon

Feb. 5, 2010  Liz is the Peace Corp rep in Paja de Sombrero across the river from Judy Odom's finca.  She finishes service the 9th of June and needs to find a good home for Blue.  Judy says Blue is a lovely dog - FAR better dog than any other she has met (including her own, who are nearly perfect).

She is perhaps 3 years old, but she has the energy of a puppy and loves physical activity.  She is very good-natured and friendly with humans, and she's very affectionate and grateful to be cared for.
She is accustomed to running, swimming, socializing, etc at will.  She is not suitable for an apartment or small yard.  She is a happy, well-behaved, friendly dog looking for a new home that is appropriate for her.

Gimpy still needs a home.  Male has been adopted.

Jan 26. I am not to sure on their ages but I think the little female whom we call Gimpy is about 2 years old, she has a very sweet personality and learns very quickly. I taught her to sit while she was convalescing. It appears that she was run over by a car when she was a puppy, her left front leg was severely damaged and never healed properly. We recently had it surgically removed and her spay done at the same time. She has healed well and is no longer in pain and completely mobile.  The male is under a year, he appeared one day this November. He is very playful gets along very well with other dogs and likes being patted and talked to.  We have also had him neutered.  They are both good watch dogs and let you know if there is someone strange around.

We are not permanantly established in Panama and cannot provide a home for these animals.

Ollie and Prince need a home right now!

Jan. 10, 2010.  Judy Odom is caring for these two brothers whose family had to return to Canada.  They are fighting with her other cats, so they really need a home of their own.

They are great pets, friendly, indoor -outdoor cats, no litter box.  They are tolerant of friendly dogs and have no bad habits. Good companions.  They have both been neutered.

Judy says they are lovely guys who would make someone really good pets.  She is looking for someone who will give them a safe, loving home.

Miguel & Chiqui need homes!

Jan. 22, 2010.

Miguel is the white dog. He limps on his right hind quarter (we think he was hit by a car).  However, he plays and is a typical young male.  His teeth are great, so guessing about 1 yr old.  He was neutered in David 11-15-09. He is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations, etc.

He has fallen in love with this little girl, Chiqi, the black dog.  She is now spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations, etc.  They are now a “pack”.  I think they would love to have a home together with kids to play with.  However, they are guard-dog oriented toward unknown people and dogs.  They have been outside dogs and need a fenced yard.

I will pay for 8 weeks of obedience training for them at K-9.

YANI

Nov. 15, 2009

Yani is a beautiful black kitty with a white chest, paws, and chin.  She is about 4 years old, and is spayed.  Originally, she came from Costa Rica.  A Panamanian woman had her for 3 years but had to give her up because her circumstances changed.  Yani had been an apartment cat, and very spoiled.  She has been here about one year, and has never adapted well.

She is very skittish because of the other cats, but otherwise is quite sweet.  I believe she would adapt well to the right kind of home.  She is very pretty and talks a lot.  She loves to play in the water in the sink.  She has recently started playing with some of the other cats.  But mostly she stays hidden during the day and comes around at night for petting.

She is looking for a permanent home with someone who can spend quality time with her.  She would adapt best as a single pet. Her puurfect home would be an apartment (indoor kitty) with a single woman - no kids, dogs, or other cats.
