Miguel needs a home!
November 24. Miguel seems to have no place else to go. He was skin and bones, covered with fleas and not neutered. He is a total sweetheart. Does not like to be crated. He was groomed and frontlined before going in for neuter, (neutered in David 11-15-09), and vaccinated (Dr Chely Boquete 11-20-09). He is due for his rabies next month. He limps and we have addressed the issue, but think it's too late to fix (we think he was hit by a car). However, he plays and is a typical young male. His teeth are great, so guessing about a year old. He's quite handsome, but I think he would love to have a home with kids to play with him. He doesn't know about toys yet. Noche/Yoda
Nov. 23, 2009 Noche is 2 yrs old and neutered. He was suffering from malnutrition, but he's been eating a high protein diet (Purina Pro Plan Small Breed Puppy, Alpo wet food, new Special diet from Rancho de Caldero (Perro Chow: ingredients Chao: Ingredients: beef, chicken liver, chicken gizzards, rice, oats, milk, vegetables, herbs, eggs, oil, salt. Was also recommended to add yogurt.). He has been flea bathed and Revolutioned at Roberto Rios'. He's easy going and crate trained. He should have an indoor/outdoor home, because he would love being loved. He's called Noche because he's black, and also Yoda because of his big ears. He is a love.

Flood Rescue Dogs: Dolly and Chuy
Nov. 21, 2009 Dolly is a well mannered mixed breed about 8 months old. She was a bit skittish when she arrived - Carmencita found her tied to a bed during the flood and we think she was also abused. But she has a quiet disposition, loves to play with Chuy and runs like crazy outside. She is also totally housebroken. Chuy was skin and bones when we got him. He's around 5 months old and loves to snuggle. He now weighs 18 lbs. and loves to play. He too is a mixed breed and is mostly housebroken. He's has just a couple accidents in the house. He would make a wonderful watchdog as he has a good bark. We took both dogs to Dr. Chely two weeks ago when we got them. Both were given shots for parasites and the male puppy Chuy was given medicine for worms. The female, Dolly, is scheduled for spaying in January and Chuy can be neutered then as well.

Nov. 15, 2009 Yani is a beautiful black kitty with a white chest, paws, and chin. She is about 4 years old, and is spayed. Originally, she came from Costa Rica. A Panamanian woman had her for 3 years but had to give her up because her circumstances changed. Yani had been an apartment cat, and very spoiled. She has been here about one year, and has never adapted well. This is too weird for her - too many cats, dogs, people. She disappears all day, but comes around at night for petting. And I let her play in the kitchen sink for a while each evening. She is skittish because of the other cats, but otherwise is quite sweet. Chester needs a home
October 27, 2009. Male dog about 2 years old, has not been sterilized. He was left behind by the owner. Would make a good watch dog and might have aggression tendancies (which can be remedied by local trainer Kris Berg) . Mary Chocheran and her daughter are looking after him temporarily. Tierrita and Tuvia - ADOPTION PENDING
These two feral kittens were found with the group that lives next to Melo. Martha Miranda is caring for them and restoring them to health (flea and parasite treatment, feeding). They are both females. The yellow one is Tuvia, the tabby is Tierrita. Call Martha Miranda 6563-8686. |

BEBE Update Sep. 10, 2009
On the site since June 7, 2009. Bebe has grown and desperately needs space to run. He's lively and healthy. Please give him a good home.Bebe was rescued in a remote village. He was very sick and the attorney helping Carmencita save the villages for the locals took him to Panama City to a vet where he was for 3 or 4 weeks. He has recovered and has grown into a happy dog. Matea needs a new home
August 1, 2009. This cute female dog is 5-6 years old, seemingly in good health, friendly, independent, her name is Mantea she lives near Isla Verde, but an older dog in the house beats up on her so the owner wants her to have a better life. She probably weighs in around 20-22 pounds. She has butterfly ears. She has not been sterilized, but we will do that no later than the October clinic. Call Martha Miranda 6563-8686. |  |
Ollie and Prince need a home
July 25, 2009. Judy Odom is caring for these two brothers whose family had to return to Canada. They are great pets, friendly, indoor -outdoor cats, no litter box. They are tolerant of friendly dogs and have no bad habits. Good companions. They have both been neutered. Judy says they are lovely guys who would make someone really good pets.
